Morocco's Ambassador Informs UN Security Council on Situation in Central African Republic
United Nations  –  Ambassador Omar Hilale, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the United Nations, on Friday informed the Security Council on the situation in the Central African Republic (RCA), in his capacity as Chair of the Central African Republic configuration of the Peace-building Commission.

He welcomed the peaceful conclusion of the political transition and return to constitutional order in the Central African Republic and reiterated the commitment of the RCA to continue providing strong support to the new authorities in order to “work together to create a favorable peace-building environment.

Hilale also called on international and regional partners to maintain and strengthen support for the Central African population and the new authorities, “at this historic moment for the country’s future”
