Indian Vice President on Official Visit to Morocco

New Delhi  –  India’s Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will pay an official visit to Morocco as from Monday, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

The three-day visit of the Indian Vice President intends to further strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries, further develop and diversify profile of bilateral economic cooperation and explore new avenues of co-operation and partnership on a wide range of issues of shared common interest, the statement added.
On this occasion, Hamid Ansari will have talks with Morocco’s Head of Government, speakers of the two houses of parliament and the minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
The Indian Vice President and the head of government will inaugurate together the India-Morocco Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Rabat.
Hamid Ansari, who will also meet several Moroccan intellectuals and imams, will deliver a speech at Mohammed V University in Rabat.
He will also visit Marrakech.
During the visit, the Indian Vice-President will be at the head of a delegation which will include Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, MPs and several Indian senior officials.
