The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in New Delhi organized, on the 16th of March 2019, a luncheon for the benefit of Indian journalists / bloggers to announce the commemoration of a Moroccan Culinary Festival at the Hotel ITC Maurya in Delhi, from the 22nd-31st March, 2019.

In this regards, about forty representatives of the various Indian media took part in this event during which the Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to the Republic of India, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Maliki, delivered a speech in which he briefed the audience on Moroccan culture, history and cuisine.

The participants at this lunch had the opportunity to taste several varieties of Moroccan dishes prepared by two Moroccan chefs specially invited for this occasion.

Visit of H.E Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy of the Kingdom of Morocco, to India, from 17th – 20th March, 2019

H.E Mr. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy of the Kingdom of Morocco, is paying a working visit to India, from 17th – 20th March, 2019, at the invitation of H.E Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Ministre of Commerce, Industry and Civil Aviation.

During his visit to India, H.E Mr. Elalamy will participate in the 14th CII EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Project Partnership, scheduled between 17-19 March 2019.

The Minister will also co-chair, the 6th Joint Commission between India and Morocco, to be held on the 20th of March 2019, with his Indian counterpart, H.E Mr. Suresh Prabhu.

During his stay, H.E Mr. Elalamy will hold several meetings with Indian Businessmen to discuss business opportunities in Morocco.

Visit of Her Excellency Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India on 17th-18th February 2019, to the Kingdom of Morocco

Her Excellency Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on 17th – 18th February 2019.
During this visit Ms. Sushma Swaraj was received in audience by His Excellency Dr. Saad Dine El Otmani, Head of the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and by His Excellency Mr. Habib El Maliki, the President of Chamber of Representatives, Lower House of Parliament.
Madam Sushma Swaraj also held bilateral talks on a wide range of subjects/topics of common interest with His Excellency Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, after which the two Ministers signed four Memorandas of Understanding relating to Counter Terrorism, Cooperation in Housing and Human Settlement, Reciprocal facilitation of procedures for issue of Business Visa and Cooperation in Youth Matters.
On her arrival to Morocco on 17th February 2019, Madam Sushma Swaraj held a meeting with members of the Indian Diaspora in Morocco.

Press release: H.E Mr. Khalid Samadi, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kingdom of Morocco, paid a working visit to India, on the 22nd – 23rd of January, 2018.

H.E Mr. Khalid Samadi, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kingdom of Morocco, paid a working visit to India, on the 22nd – 23rd of January, 2018.
During his stay in New Delhi, H.E Mr. Khalid Samadi held a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart, H.E Mr. Satya Pal Singh, as well as with the Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Prof. D. P. Singh, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Higher Education, Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, and visited Jawaharlal-Nehru University of New Delhi, where he gave a lecture on ‘‘the opportunities of studies in Morocco and the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education’’, in the presence of officials from the University and number of Phd candidates students.
H.E Mr. Khalid Samadi has also visited the National Physics Laboratory (NPL), the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
H.E Mr. Khalid Samadi, also signed, on the 22nd of January, 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding on the mutual recognition of diplomas delivered by accredited educational institutions in both countries.
This MoU aims to encourage student mobility between Morocco and India by facilitating the possibility for students to pursue their studies in either country according to the laws and regulations of both countries. It also aims to facilitate the mobility of teachers and researchers between them.
This visit of H.E Mr. Khalid Samadi to New Delhi took place after his participation in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019, along with H.E Mrs. Rakiya Eddarhem, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, and many high officials and representatives of various Moroccan Agencies and businessmen.
